Old Advertising Signs..are windows to the world. They capture elements of what makes
up life, not just from today, but fromyesterday and ultimately from
yesteryear. In the here and now of today, they communicate the
offerings of commerce to the community. ccordingly, advertising
signs offer a glimpse of the way of life enjoyed within that time. |

Over the years I had collected a few old signs and also had some good graphics. With some ingenuity and knowledge accumulated over the last thirty years, I made myself a few reproductions. As I considered how good they looked, I began to think… Proud as punch with what I had made I trundled off to the nearest likely retailer. Happy though I was, for that shop it was not good enough. A little disappointed and rejected… back to the drawing board; they were perfect, too perfect in fact. Rust was what was needed. So I developed a very special way to make rusty, real looking reproductions of old signs.Now, I can have my favourite signs around the place looking old and beautiful. It’s taken me 5 years and 3 months to get what I wanted; the materials, the designs, and the rust. Can you believe rust was my last and biggest hurdle!
